
Lyle W. Posecion, MD
Dr. Posecion is a physiatrist who provides non-operative care to patients suffering from neck and back pain, arthritis, and work- or sports- related injuries. His goal is to manage dysfunction or diseases of the nerves, muscles, joints and bones by combining exercise with conventional medical treatment, so patients can enjoy optimal patient health and function.
In Dr. Posecion works with the patient to design an individualized treatment program tailored to restore function and promote an active lifestyle. He has a special interest in non-surgical treatment of neck and back disorders, orthopedic rehabilitation, and sports injuries. With extensive training and experience in minimally invasive pain management techniques, Dr. Posecion is skilled in using epidural blocks, facet injections, and intradiscal procedures to treat and relieve pain.
A published author and marathon runner, Dr. Posecion received his undergraduate degree from New York University and his medical degree from St. George’s School of Medicine. He interned at Long Island College Hospital, in Brooklyn, NY, and served as Chief Resident as part of a three-year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He continued his training as a fellow in interventional spine and pain management with the Alabama Orthopedic, Spine, & Sports Medicine Associates in Birmingham, AL.
